How does Just Landed know my flight has landed?
We poll the OpenSky Network β€” a community-run feed of live air-traffic data β€” every 60 seconds for active flights and as often as every 90 seconds when you're within two hours of arrival. The instant your aircraft is reported on-the-ground at your destination airport, we fire the activation.
Do I need the LTE.app app for Just Landed to work?
No. You can register a flight from the email confirmation we send after purchase, from the storefront, or from the app. We send the activation push or SMS to the contact method you choose. The app makes registering faster and shows a live arrival countdown, but the feature works without it.
What if my flight number is mistyped or the airline is small?
We try every common callsign variant for your flight (IATA, ICAO, zero-padded, etc.) so we'll usually match even with sloppy input. If we still can't find it 90 minutes before scheduled departure, we email you and you can correct it from the email link.
Does this drain my phone battery?
All flight tracking happens on our server, not your phone. Your phone only receives a single push notification at touchdown. There's no background scanning, no GPS polling, no battery cost.
What does it cost?
Nothing extra. Just Landed is included free with every LTE.app travel eSIM. Pro and Premium members also get priority push delivery (within ~30 seconds of touchdown vs. up to 2 minutes for free tier).
Can I cancel a tracked flight?
Yes β€” one tap in the app or one click from the email. We stop polling immediately and you won't be billed for any data until you activate manually.
