eSIM International Roaming Not Working

Enable data roaming immediately

iOS: Settings → Cellular → Cellular Data Options → Data Roaming: On. Android: Settings → Connections → Mobile Networks → Data Roaming: On. This is step one — do not skip it.

Confirm the eSIM is set as the data line

If you have a physical SIM and eSIM, your phone needs to route data through the eSIM. iOS: Settings → Cellular → Cellular Data → select your travel eSIM. Android: Settings → Connections → SIM Manager → Mobile Data → select eSIM.

Check the plan covers your destination

Some eSIM plans are country-specific. If you bought a Japan eSIM and you are now in South Korea, data roaming will not work — you need a different plan. Check your LTE.app plan details.

Fix APN settings

APN (Access Point Name) controls data routing. LTE.app plans set APN automatically, but if data still fails, go to Settings → Cellular → Cellular Data Network (iOS) or Settings → Connections → Mobile Networks → Access Point Names (Android) and confirm the APN matches the carrier instructions from your welcome email.

My home carrier says roaming is enabled but my travel eSIM still will not work. Why?
