Step-by-step fixes

1
Set your eSIM as the active data SIM
Android: Settings → Network & Internet → SIMs → select your eSIM line → toggle on as preferred data SIM. Samsung: Settings → Connections → SIM Manager → tap your eSIM → set as Data SIM. Pixel: Settings → Network & Internet → SIMs → set Preferred SIM for data.
2
Enable data roaming on the eSIM line
Android: Settings → Network & Internet → SIMs → tap your eSIM → enable Data Roaming. Samsung: Settings → Connections → SIM Manager → tap the eSIM card → enable Data Roaming. This is required even if data roaming is on for your home SIM.
3
Toggle airplane mode on/off
Enable airplane mode for 30 seconds, then turn it off. This forces the modem to re-register to the local carrier and clears stale connection state.
4
Manually select a network carrier
Android: Settings → Network & Internet → SIMs → tap eSIM → Network Operators → Search now. Samsung: Settings → Connections → Mobile Networks → Network Operators → Search. Try each listed carrier until data connects.
5
Check APN settings for your eSIM
APN settings must be set on the eSIM line, not your home SIM. Go to Settings → Network & Internet → SIMs → tap eSIM → Access Point Names. If blank, contact your provider for the correct APN — or Smart Coach fills this automatically.
6
Use Smart Coach for automatic diagnosis
Open LTE.app and tap Smart Coach. It checks your APN settings, roaming state, and carrier connection automatically — even without mobile data — and walks you through the exact fix for your device and carrier.

Frequently asked questions

Why does my Android show the eSIM connected but no internet?
The eSIM is registered to a carrier but data is not flowing. Causes: wrong APN, data roaming off, or the eSIM line is not set as the active data SIM. Check all three settings — they are independent and all must be correct.
How do I find APN settings on Android?
Settings → Network & Internet → SIMs → tap your eSIM line → Access Point Names. If you see an empty list or incorrect values, contact your eSIM provider for the correct APN, or use LTE.app Smart Coach to detect and correct it.
My Samsung eSIM worked in one country but not another. Why?
Each country uses different carrier partners. The eSIM profile should automatically connect to the best carrier, but in some cases you need to manually select a carrier in Settings → Connections → Mobile Networks → Network Operators.
