Samsung Galaxy eSIM Not Working

Step-by-step fixes

1
Enable data roaming on the eSIM line
Settings → Connections → Mobile Networks → Data Roaming: On. Make sure you toggle this for the eSIM line specifically (not your physical SIM). If you have dual SIM, each line has its own data roaming switch.
2
Set eSIM as the mobile data line
Settings → Connections → SIM Manager → Mobile Data → select your eSIM. Samsung's SIM Manager can route data through the wrong SIM. Confirm the eSIM is selected for mobile data.
3
Check Samsung-specific carrier lock
Some Samsung phones sold by carriers are locked to that carrier's network. Go to Settings → Connections → SIM Manager → SIM Lock — if this is enabled, contact your carrier to unlock. A carrier-unlocked Samsung can use any eSIM.
4
Manually select a network operator
Settings → Connections → Mobile Networks → Network operators → Search now. Select a carrier from the list. Samsung phones sometimes fail to auto-register on the correct carrier.
5
Reset APN settings
Settings → Connections → Mobile Networks → Access Point Names → tap the menu (three dots) → Reset to default. Then restart your phone. Incorrect APN settings prevent data even when signal is present.
6
Use Smart Coach for automatic diagnosis
Open LTE.app and tap Smart Coach. It checks your APN settings, roaming state, and carrier connection automatically — even without mobile data — and walks you through the exact fix for your device and carrier.

My Samsung shows "eSIM not supported" even though my model should have it. Why?
Samsung phones sold in some regions or by some carriers have eSIM hardware disabled. Phones sold in India, mainland China, or by certain US carriers may have eSIM restricted. Contact your carrier or check Samsung's official eSIM compatibility page for your exact model number.
