eSIM Not Showing Up in Phone Settings?
You scanned the QR code but the eSIM line is not appearing under Settings → Cellular. Here is how to fix it.

LTE.app Smart Coach — automatic diagnosis
Smart Coach checks your APN settings, roaming state, and carrier connection automatically — no data needed. Open the app and tap Smart Coach to fix most issues in under 60 seconds.
Step-by-step fixes
1
Check that the QR code scan completed fully
After scanning, your phone shows a confirmation screen asking you to add the plan. If you dismissed this screen, the eSIM was not installed. Try scanning the QR code again — you may need to request a replacement QR from your provider if it was single-use.
2
Check if your phone is carrier-locked
A carrier-locked phone will silently reject eSIM profiles from other providers. Go to Settings → General → About (iPhone) and look for "Carrier Lock: No SIM restrictions" or similar. If locked, contact your home carrier to request an unlock.
3
Ensure you have a stable Wi-Fi connection
eSIM profiles download over the internet during installation. A dropped Wi-Fi connection mid-download can cause the profile to not appear. Connect to stable Wi-Fi and retry the QR scan.
4
Restart your device after scanning
Some devices require a full restart before a newly installed eSIM profile appears in the cellular settings menu. Restart and check Settings → Cellular again.
5
Check if the QR code has already been used
Most eSIM QR codes are single-use. If the QR was already scanned on another device or session, it will not work again. Contact your provider to issue a new QR code for the same plan.
6
Use Smart Coach for automatic diagnosis
Open LTE.app and tap Smart Coach. It checks your APN settings, roaming state, and carrier connection automatically — even without mobile data — and walks you through the exact fix for your device and carrier.

I scanned the QR code but nothing happened. What do I do?
Make sure you are scanning from Settings → Cellular → Add eSIM → Use QR Code, not from a regular camera or barcode app. Only the system eSIM scanner in your Settings can install an eSIM profile.
How do I know if my phone is carrier-unlocked?
On iPhone: Settings → General → About → scroll to "Carrier Lock." On Android/Samsung: Settings → About Phone → SIM Lock Status or call your carrier's unlock team. If locked, request an unlock before traveling.
Can I reinstall an eSIM after it disappears?
If the original QR code was single-use (most travel eSIMs are), you need a new QR from your provider. Contact LTE.app support for a free QR reissue if your plan was not used.
