eSIM Stuck on "Activating..."?
Your eSIM has been showing "Activating" in Settings for more than a few minutes. Here is how to unstick it without losing your plan.

LTE.app Smart Coach — automatic diagnosis
Smart Coach checks your APN settings, roaming state, and carrier connection automatically — no data needed. Open the app and tap Smart Coach to fix most issues in under 60 seconds.
Step-by-step fixes
1
Wait 5–10 minutes on a stable Wi-Fi connection
Carrier activation sometimes takes longer than expected. Ensure you stay on Wi-Fi and leave the Settings screen open. Do not tap anything during this time.
2
Force-restart your device
iOS (Face ID models): quickly press Volume Up, Volume Down, then hold the Side button until the Apple logo appears. This resets the modem without losing data and often unsticks activation.
3
Toggle the eSIM off and on
Settings → Cellular → tap your eSIM line → toggle "Turn On This Line" off, wait 10 seconds, toggle back on. This forces a fresh registration request to the carrier server.
4
Switch to a different Wi-Fi network
Some networks block GSMA provisioning traffic. Move to a different Wi-Fi or use a mobile hotspot from another device, then toggle the eSIM line off/on again.
5
Remove and re-add the profile
As a last resort, delete the eSIM profile (Settings → Cellular → tap the plan → Remove Cellular Plan). Contact LTE.app support for a replacement QR before removing — the original QR is now used and will not work again.
6
Use Smart Coach for automatic diagnosis
Open LTE.app and tap Smart Coach. It checks your APN settings, roaming state, and carrier connection automatically — even without mobile data — and walks you through the exact fix for your device and carrier.

How long should eSIM activation take?
Typically 30 seconds to 3 minutes on a good Wi-Fi connection. If it is still "Activating" after 5 minutes, the provisioning server may be slow or the Wi-Fi is blocking the activation traffic. Try a different network.
If I delete the eSIM while it is stuck, will I lose the plan?
The plan itself (your subscription) is not deleted. However, the QR code is now consumed. Contact LTE.app support to get a replacement QR code for the same plan.
