Step-by-step fixes

Check your plan status in LTE.app
Open the LTE.app app or visit lte.app and check your active plans. The dashboard shows remaining data and plan expiry date. Expired plans show "Expired" with the date.

Purchase a top-up or new plan
If your plan has run out of data or expired, purchase a new plan for the same country. You do not need to uninstall and reinstall the eSIM — the new plan activates automatically on the same eSIM profile within minutes.

Check that the new plan has activated
After purchasing a top-up, toggle airplane mode off and on to force the eSIM to check for updated plan entitlements from the carrier. Data should restore within 2–5 minutes.

Understand plan validity vs data allowance
Plans have two limits: a data allowance (GB) and a validity window (days). Your plan can expire (validity window closed) even if you still have data remaining. Or it can run out of data before the validity window ends. Both stop data delivery.

Frequently asked questions

My eSIM plan expired but I still have data remaining. Can I extend it?
Once the validity window closes, remaining data cannot be used. Contact LTE.app support — in some cases we can extend the validity window for unused data. Alternatively, purchase a new plan that covers your remaining time.
Do I need to remove and reinstall my eSIM after buying a new plan?
No. Your eSIM profile stays on the device. The new plan activates on the same profile. Toggle airplane mode on/off to accelerate activation. No QR scanning needed.
How do I avoid running out of data mid-trip?
Enable data warnings in LTE.app. The app sends a push notification when you reach 80% and 95% of your data allowance, giving you time to purchase a top-up before data stops.
